Church on the Rock is a church based in Hamilton, ON that focuses on youth and young adults. As such they want clean but visually engaging slides to get all of the necessary information across that appeal to their target audience and congregation. All different typefaces were used on the slides in order to make them distinct from one another and modern enough to appeal to younger people while not alienating the older members of the congregation. However all of the typefaces chosen needed to be easy to read. The slides are as simple as one typeface on a single colour background to multiple typefaces over an image with a simple graphic element. The typefaces are the most important part of the design and work with the other elements on the slides to make them visually interesting and eye-catching. The designs and preferred typefaces change over time in order to stay current with changing trends and remain cohesive with the branding of the church.
